DATA-GRID currently has test sites for its OWL Cache™ product in Life Sciences, Financial Services, and Energy. We would like a fourth test site for our Beta-1 program, and an additional four sites for our Beta-2 program.
Candidate vertical market applications might include:
- Financial Services: derivatives, risk, hedge fund portfolio modeling, FpML systems
- Web 2.0: social networking, video markup
- Telecommunications: location-based services for mobile networks
- Pharmaceuticals: pharmacogenomics, genome/proteome-based diagnostic tests, personalized medicine
- Healthcare: electronic patient medical records
- Oil and Gas: sensor networks
We are also interested in applications which have novel horizontal components to them:
- semantic search
- domain-specific natural language query systems
- mashups based on Google's satellite imaging libraries
- semantic data integration
We recognize that some of the most interesting examples from this last group of applications may come from cash-strapped startups.
How will we help you?
We will assist in the development of the OWL ontology for the classes the system is based on, and then focus on the data management portion of the application — storing/retrieving/querying instances of the subset of the application classes for which persistent data is maintained.
